Jalapeno's in the Alley: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Montgomery, AL

Was in Montgomery, AL for work and Jalapeños was recommended to me by a colleague. I’m so glad that I stopped by (I went twice because it was so good). The food is absolutely delicious, everything came out pretty quickly. My favorite dish was the Pollo Loco, so simple, but perfectly executed, and absolutely delicious!! I sat at both a booth and at the bar and the service was pretty good both ways (I prefer the bar..easier/faster access to drinks). They make a coconut margarita (with 1800 coconut tequila) that is absolutely amazing! It’s a good environment, definitely the place to go after work and have a drink and get some good food!

This place was rockstar. The food was great, drinks were on point. The staff were amazing. Location works if you’re in town for a meeting or just touring the city. Its close proximity to the riverwalk makes it a convenient location for refueling and celebrating.

I had a Ladies' Night Out with my best friend, and we stopped here for drinks. We got a Strawberry Margherita, and it was decent. It was HUGE! They had different sizes and the price was very reasonable for this large size! I can't speak on the food because we only got drinks, but they served chips and salsa even though we didn't order food which was nice. The waiter was very funny and easy going and he gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted. It wasn't that crowded around the time that we went, which was 4:30-5p on a Friday evening. The booths are kind of small, depending on your body size, so for my fluffier ladies and gentlemen, just a heads up. But am overall decent time!

Jalapeños in the Alley is located in a covered alley across the street from the SpringHill Suites. The Fajitas and Queso Flameado were both good. The prices ($17 and $15) were really good, especially for the location. The service was quick and the location was easily accessible.

Definitely a go to spot for Mexican food! The drinks were strong and the service was top tier! Everything was so good!

Excellent vegetarian fajitas, salsa, and guacamole. They could reduce the amount of grilled onions and perhaps add another vegetable. All in all good place to eat and a short walk from the Legacy Museum. We also got cheese only chile relleno as a side.

Came in on a Friday afternoon and left genuinely impressed. The staff was attentive and quick, and the food spoke for itself. The street tacos were excellent in a straightforward way. The beef had a solid sear that gave it real depth, the onions added a gentle smoky note, and the fresh cilantro brought the right amount of brightness. Simple ingredients treated well. The tortillas were warm with a light crisp that made them stand out. The beans and rice were comforting, seasoned well, and clearly made with care. The chips were fine and the salsa was okay, but the tacos easily carried the meal. The value was unreal for the area. Four tacos for fifteen dollars and a margarita for the same price. Hard to find that kind of quality at that cost around here. Nothing complicated and nothing overthought. Just good food prepared the right way. I will come back without hesitation.
